Group No. 11

Time: Two Weeks before practice presentation, Three Weeks to final exam.

Most of our group mates came to this meeting with content ready to construct our fake identity. We were ready to head on with this idea

UNTIL

another change has happened. One of our member Vlad said “I have figured it out!” Our group at this point was divided because some wanted to stick to the idea we had planned. Especially because content such as social media, AI generators, 3D models have already been made and the deadline is not that far away. After a long discussion, the group felt that with the fake identity, the outcome is still not clear but the new idea is clearer. This new outcome is a combination of everyone’s idea through another sprint.

THE NEW IDEA:

To create a group identity mediation machine using dreams as information agents.

With our dreams, we have create a machine that processes dreams to create an identity formed by other people (namely, people from the internet).

So how does it work?

Group Identity > Communal Dreaming within the group > Dreams are fed into the internet for feedback > People all over the world assume how our dreams reflect our identity > Group Identity 2.0 is made.

The final outcome is an installation. We have a black box which is lit up with a flashing or gradient effect. This represents our machine. The idea is that people can look inside the machine and see what is going on which will be shown as a VR experience. The box has an input and output. The input is our dreams. The output is the people’s feedback. The feedback from the internet will then be recorded as an automated voice. The dreams are recorded as a group. Audio will be displayed as a response between input and output.

With this, we then re delegated the tasks and it was broken down as follows:

It was a long day for the whole group but everyone came together and agreed upon this idea. We agreed that this direction is the clearest one we’ve ever had. Tasks were delegated and we have Two weeks until the practice presentation and we needed to start creating as soon as possible.
