Dream Rotation
One of the first experiments we did is a dream rotation. The idea is to do a dream circle, record dreams and see what our dreams say about our identity. We are all assigned a pair with someone in the group to send our dreams and they keep it a secret from the rest of the group first.
Atlanta to Daniel to Vlad to Luis to Shuang to Jin to Atlanta
This whole exercise was a continuous experiment whilst overlapping it with ideation, research etc. Some people in the group did not have dreams to share and therefore we had to prolong the experiment. There was a point where the whole team did not have any dream at all which definitely matches with how stressful the week was. Everyone was sleep deprived and had to take time to create dreams.
We discovered that Atlanta had the wildest dreams out of everybody. She had the most cinematic fictitious sci fi environments in her dream. She has explained that it is one of the main reasons why she loves sleeping. It is almost like an escape. Vlad is the one who had less dreams. Out of a span of three weeks he had about 2 dreams on record which says a lot about his busy schedule. For Luis, he had a nightmare on one of the dreams right after a group meeting.
There are many things that happened throughout this experimentation that we all learned form each other. The data collected will be used to generate our final outcome.
