Experiment: Dream Picture Sharing

We decided to change the way we display dreams, this time we show them in images, each of us chooses to represent our dreams. Then everyone will give the other's dream to add the hashtag.

Daniel's Dream

Jin's Dream

*Atlanta mentioned competitiveness the day before in relation to Jin.

*The group discussed Instagram and social media the day before

Shuang's Dream

*Dream about the activity from the day before, same group and activity

*Shuang had a conversation about a traditional Chinese building the day before

Atlanta's Dream

*Atlanta dreamt about the same activity and location like the day before, Shuang was also *complimented about her ideas the day before.

Luis's Dream

*Luis made a mention about luxury and boats the day before in Daniel’s dream

Vlad's Dream

In conclusion, we have learned a lot about each other. Sharing dreams are an intimate thing. Usually details we have learnt about each other can be learned when you’ve been with someone for many years. With the dream sharing, it was a lot quicker to get to know everybody. Atlanta and Shuang had a connecting dream and so did Vlad, Jin and Daniel.

After this, we involved other people in our experiment and extended this to our closest circle such as family, partners, lovers and more. We have asked them what each object about an identity of the person. Do you have any similar dreams? Do you share dreams with your loved one? We found out that most of the asked people are forgetting dreams as soon as the wake up. The reason could be is because their mind is not fixated on the experience as much as our group members. When the group started recording dreams, the more we are aware that we are dreaming. We developed the habit of recording them as soon as we wake up. With others outside of the group, we needed more convincing of them participating.

Nevertheless, it was an interesting experience for all.
